Aberdeen Property Fund Finland I Ky, a property fund launched by Aberdeen Property In-vestors Finland Oy, has signed an agreement to purchase four properties from the Pension Fund of Valio (Valion Eläkekassa).
The semi open-ended property fund, Aberdeen Property Fund Finland I Ky, (the Fund) was launched by Aberdeen in August 2005 and has since raised EUR 53.5 million of equity.
Other recent acquisitions include a property portfolio comprising four fully leased commercial and office properties in Jyväskylä, Vantaa and Helsinki, with a combined area of about 21,000 sqm. Ownership of the properties was transferred to the Fund from the 14th July 2006.
The Fund has also purchased two properties from OKO Bank in Oulu and a property owned by Barreli Kiinteistöt Oy in Raahe. The premises are also fully leased.

“These properties complete our existing property portfolio which consists of commercial and logis-tics properties. In accordance with the strategy of the Fund, we have diversified our portfolio into different types of properties and purchased properties outside of the Metropolitan area."
“We have been very active in the market having acquired 22 properties with a combined area of about 68,000 sqm and a total value of about EUR 65 million in just six months.”
The fund is currently open to new investment with the next closing at the end of September.

“At the end of June we raised an additional EUR 7.3 million from Finnish investors indicating that interest in indirect property investments is still growing.”
