Aberdeen Property Investors announces the appointment of Jon Lekander as Chief Investment Officer. Jon, previously Head of Investment Strategy, will now focus on the implementation of defined investment strategies for Aberdeen’s property funds.
Aberdeen Property Investors has seen strong growth over the past year. Following the recent opening of the office in St Petersburg, it is now present in 11 European countries as well as Singapore. In terms of product range, the company offers a wide range of property vehicles, including national and regional funds as well as funds of property funds. It currently has 11 property funds open for investments and had €12.6 billion under management as at end of July 2007.
Alessandro Bronda, current Head of European Research, will replace Jon Lekander as Head of Investment Strategy and together with his team will be responsible for providing market forecasts and research for the development of investment plans and strategies. He will continue to be Aberdeen’s prime spokesperson for all research matters in the property sector.
